Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do you have a min night stay?

No. You can stay in our tents and on our pitches for a little as 1 night to 14 nights. If you require a longer stay please get in touch via our email.

2) How many tents do you have?

We have three tentsile tents; two are stacks, which go over two or three levels with additional seating/sleeping areas and one is a tentsile tent on its own. We also have a further six pitches, all different sizes, for you to bring your own tents and camp out in the woodland.

3) How many people can stay in each tree tent?

In the tentsile tent you can sleep two adults and a child comfortably, but they do take up to three adults, which is cozy. The tentsile stacks we only allow four adults max and an additional two children (over 5 years old) if required.

4) Can I bring my dog?

No unfortunately not, we have lots of lovely woodland creatures, which we want to protect.

5) Do you have WIFI?

No, However, there is good 4G in the majority of the woodland.

6) Can you tell us more about the tree tents?

Yes! These are a fun hammock based tent, where you can enjoy the woodland from a different angle . Whilst they are snug and cosy, we do recommend a blanket or camping mat underneath you. However, they are not suitable for a blow up. The tents are triangle in shape and therefore each guest needs their own bedding.

They are not suitable for people scared of heights, people whom have difficulty with their mobility or climbing a ladder or people who are susceptible to sleep walking.

Whilst children will love tree tent experience, they must be supervised at all times whilst in the tree tents. We do not allow under 5 years old in the Buzzard or Sparrowhawk due to heights however, they can enjoy the Swallow Tree Tent providing they are supervised at all times.

There is a weight limit of 100kg per person for the tree tents.

7) Do you provide bedding and towels?

No, you will need to bring your blow-ups, duvets/sleeping bags, and pillows.

8) When are check-in and check-out?

Check in is at 3.30 onwards and check out is 10.30am

9) Are there shops nearby?

Yes. Rhydymwyn station is a five minute drive away, where you can the get most basic food, fuel and there is a small cafe. Mold is ten minutes away by car, where you have high street shops, pubs, restaurants, and superstores.

10) What facilities are available?

We have three compost toilets and three hot showers available. We also have an under cover area to chill and relax,  washing up area, and a communal fire pit and BBQ (each fire pit converts in to a BBQ).

11) Can we bring a car?

Yes, you can bring one car per tree tent or pitch. We have a car park next to the campsite, but we have no cars on the campsite itself.

12) Can we explore the woodland?

The campsite is set within the woodland so you are surrounded by the woods. However, it is a working woodland so certain parts have been restricted access. We will provide a map with details of this.

14) Can we buy logs for the fire?

Yes, we have log nets for sale at £7 per net or (£6 online if booked with the reservation). Please don’t bring in other logs from outside as we are protecting our Larch from Phytophthora ramorum and this is an easy way for diseases to spread into our woods. Furthermore, we will not tolerate snapping sticks off trees or using fallen wood, 0las we need to protect our woodland
