The Swallow is a gentle, family-friendly treetop camping experience, ideal for introducing younger adventurers to life in the canopy. Set closer to the ground than our other tree tents, it offers an exciting yet reassuring stay, making it especially suitable for families with children—including under-5s.

Accessed via a small raised platform, The Swallow features a Stingray tensile tent designed to sleep up to three people in comfort. While a little agility is still required, it is significantly easier to access than The Buzzard and The Sparrow Hawk, making it a fantastic treetop experience for guests of all confidence and ability levels.

Children are welcome and must be supervised at all times, and each guest has a maximum weight limit of 100kg. For a cosy night’s sleep, we recommend bringing a sleeping mat or blanket (rather than a blow-up mattress) along with plenty of extra layers to keep warm. Please see our FAQs for full details.

If you’d love to fall asleep among the trees and wake to birdsong with the whole family, The Swallow is the perfect place to begin.

Campsite Rules

  1. Campfires are welcome at Tree Tops and Train Tracks but only in the designated areas.
  2. We have 18 acres of woodland to explore but please stick to the clear boundary lines.
  3. Earliest check in is 3.30pm unless you have upgraded to early check in which is 2pm
  4. Latest check out is 10.30am unless you have upgraded to late check out at 12pm
  5. Quiet hours are from 10pm till 8am as its a family friendly site
  6. Guests should keep their pitch clean and tidy at all times
  7. The site and reception will be open from 8am to 9pm and closed over night
  8. All access to the campsite should remain free at all times.
  9. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on site bar the designated area in the car park
  10. We allow BBq's and fires in the communal area, however we do allow these on the pitches.
